Abstract
If you set up an IBM Cognos Express 10.2.1 gateway and are installing 10.2.1 FP1 or later, follow this procedure to update the gateway.

Procedure
- Double-click Express_gateway_location/bin/cogconfig.bat.
IBM Cognos Configuration for the gateway starts. - Click File > Export As.
- If prompted whether to export decrypted content, click Yes.
- Select the directory for the export file, specify the file name cogstartup.xml, and then click Save.
- Exit IBM Cognos Configuration.
- Extract the CognosExpressGateway.zip file to the existing gateway installation folder, overwriting any existing files.
Tip: The CognosExpressGateway.zip is available in the extracted Interim Fix folder under the gateway directory. - Move the previously exported cogstartup.xml file to the Express_gateway_location/configuration directory, overwriting the existing file if you are prompted.
- Double-click Express_gateway_location/bin/cogconfig.bat.
IBM Cognos Configuration for the gateway starts. - Ensure that the settings are correct, and then click File > Save.
- Exit IBM Cognos Configuration.
- Follow the steps in Configure the IBM Cognos Express server for the gateway.
