TPFC7005I warning message appears at IBM Developer for z/OS start up

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to start IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) result in the warning message "TPFC7005I".

Symptom

The full error message is as follows:
 
The folder 'C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP\Config/TPFSHARE' referenced by
the environment variable 'TPFSHARE' does not exist. 

Note: This message can be ignored.

Cause

The problem is due to a missing local host connection in RSE (Remote System Explorer).

Normally, a local connection is defined by default and the last one cannot be deleted.
In this case, the last one was somehow deleted, and the cause of could not be determined.

Resolving The Problem

Add a local host connection to RSE manually.
