Start/Stop script for RIT-Agent

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Is there a start script for non-Windows systems for IBM Rational Integration Tester Agent (RIT-Agent)?

Cause

For Windows systems RIT-Agent start and stop can be controlled using the service IBM RIT Agent.
You want to run RIT-Agent on non-Windows systems in the same way with automatic start on boot.

Answer

Sample scripts for the following are included in the IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) installation:

  • RIT-Agent

  • RTCP

  • The HTTP/TCP Proxy from IBM Rational Integration Tester Platform Pack (RIT-Platform)

The scripts and a README file are found in the examples/ExampleInitScripts folder of all RIT installations since version 8.5.1. This includes Windows versions.
The default locations of the RIT installation are as follows:

Windows systems: C:\Program Files\IBM\RationalIntegrationTester

Non-Windows systems: /opt/IBM/RationalIntegrationTester
