Simple SRM login fails with HTTP error 403

Troubleshooting


Problem

Adding new users for access in TSAM, when they login they get an HTTP 403 error.

Symptom

Logging on to Maximo/TSRM, HTTP error 403 is received.

Diagnosing The Problem

You see the following error in the SystemOut.log:

[3/28/14 10:27:51:275 EDT] 00000821 WebCollaborat A SECJ0129E: Authorization failed for 14-1X14 while invoking GET on maximo_host: SimpleSRM/, Authorization failed, Not granted any of the required
roles: PMSCADMUSR

"14-1X14" us the username.

Resolving The Problem

Login to the WAS admin console, and check the Applications > Enterprise Applications > MAXIMO application.

Click the "Security role to user/group mapping" and ensure the check box 'All Authenticated' is set for the PMSCADMUSR assignment.

Comparing the settings against a known working environment if you have one.

After making changes, click OK, click Save, and then a TSAM restart will be required for changes to take effect.
