IBM Support

Verifying if RIT is 32-bit or 64-bit

Question & Answer

Question

How do you find out if IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) is installed as 32 or 64 bit program?

Cause

You need to install one or more DLL files to be used with RIT. For example TIBCO RendezvousĀ®, or jTDS drivers for Microsoft SQL Server connection using Windows credentials.

RIT can be installed as a 32-bit or 64-bit application.

You need to install DLL files that have the same 32/64-bit architecture as RIT.

Answer

There are two ways to check the architecture:

USE IBM INSTALLATION MANAGER

  1. Start IBM Installation Manager (IM).

  2. Click Update.

  3. Click the product in the Package Group Name list.

  4. Note the setting for Architecture in the Details section.

FROM WITHIN RIT

  1. Start RIT.

  2. Click Help > About > Configuration Details.

  3. Note the value of com.ibm.vm.bitmode.

This will be 32 or 64.
