A user cannot access inactive Organization/Site records

Troubleshooting


Problem

A user cannot access inactive Organization/Site records in the Organization even if that user belongs to the MAXADMIN Security Group.

Resolving The Problem

The user (eg. testusr1) and Maxadmin user have the same privileges (belonging to the MAXADMIN Security Group).

If the Maxadmin user logs into Maximo and goes to the Organizations application, that Maxadmin user can see

all Organization records (including inactive records).


But if the testusr1 user logs into Maximo and goes to the Organizations application, that testusr1 user cannot see inactive Organization records.





This problem is caused by that user's settings.
- Go to the Users application
- Select the Maxadmin user. The 'Can Access Inactive Sites?' option is checked for the Maxadmin user.




- Select the testusr1 user. This time, the 'Can Access Inactive Sites?' option is not checked for that testusr1 user.




If that option is checked, the testusr1 user can see all Organization records.

To sum up:
if the 'Can Access Inactive Sites?' option is not checked for users, these users cannot see inactive Site/Organization records.
