Abstract

IBM Security zSecure Visual uses the IBM Eclipse Help System (IEHS) to provide product information center for end users. A cross site scripting vulnerability exists in IEHS.

DESCRIPTION:
A remote attacker might exploit this vulnerability using a specially crafted URL to execute a script in a web browser within the security context of the hosting web site after the URL is clicked. An attacker might use this vulnerability to steal the cookie-based authentication credentials for a user.

The attack does not require local network access nor does it require authentication but some specialized knowledge and techniques are required. An exploit would not impact the confidentiality of information or the accessibility of the system but integrity of data could be compromised

Install fix pack FP0004 for zSecure Visual 1.12 and fix pack FP0003 for zSecure

3.6.2.
