Non-Stock Items Cannot Be Selected In Item Lookup

Question & Answer

Question

Is it possible to use a non-stock item as a Spare Part?

Cause

Non-Stock Items are filtered from general item look-up queries

Answer

A non-stock item can, in fact, be considered to be a spare part, but a non-stock item is generally not going to be valid through a general item look-up because it will not be available for reorder.

This is not considered to be a bug. The filtering is different between the Select Asset Spare Parts button and the general item look-up when a new row is inserted.
