Problem

Cognos Report Studio in Tivoli Common Reporting version 3.1 and later fix packs fail to launch on Internet Explorer version 10

Resolving The Problem

Follow these steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer (IE) version 10.
2. Press the ALT key to view the menu options.
3. Navigate to Tools > Compatible View settings, add localhost / IP / hostname in the website section, and close.
4. Access Dashboard Application Services Hub (DASH) URL.
5. From Browser menu, navigate to Tools > F12 developer tools and make the following changes:

    ▪ Change the Browser Mode to IE version 10 compact view
    ▪ Change the Document Mode to IE version 8 standards
6. Refresh the webpage.
7. Open Tivoli Common Reporting by clicking on Common Reporting.
8. Open the report studio from the Launch menu on Connection page and check that the report studio works as expected.
