The following table lists final fix (FF) release dates for the IBM PureData System for Analytics Netezza Platform Software.

The table below reflects the last dates on which IBM will deliver final fixes of defects for a given version/release of PureData System for Analytics Netezza Platform Software (NPS).

Major Releases, Maintenance and Fixpack follow these Guidelines:
- Major Release levels are supported for 3 years
- Minor Release levels are supported for 2.5 years
- Maintenance releases are supported for a minimum of 18 months
- All fixpacks are cumulative of prior fixpack content
- Client Kits and Drivers are maintained for a given platform for as long as the operating system vendor provides standard support.
Major Releases, Maintenance and Fixpack conventions:
Release Type | Example Names | Purpose |
Major releases | 6.0, 7.0 | Releases that contain large areas of new functionality and capability. |
Minor releases | 7.1.0 | Releases that contain small enhancements and fixes. |
Maintenance (Dot) releases | 7.2.1 | Includes operational and minor enhancements as well as bug fixes. |
Fixpacks | 7.2.1.3 | Released twice a year and contain approximately 25 - 50 fixes. |
Patches | 7.2.1.3-P2 | Released every two months, except when fixpacks are being released. Fixes will be rolled into the next quarterly fixpack. |

Note: We support all appliances (TF, Striper, Mako etc) till its End of Support (EoS) is announced, which is typically 5 yrs after End of Marketing (EoM) . For N100x appliance model, EoM was June 20, 2014 for TF appliances.
