Abstract

The service stream enhancement for DB2 11 (and IMS 13) currency results in documentation updates for the IBM Security zSecure User Reference Manuals.

Although this PTF applies to DB2 11 and IMS 13, the documentation updates apply only to DB2. There are no documentation updates for IMS.

The IBM Security zSecure 2.1 base release already contains some support for DB2 11. The additional currency support that comes with this PTF includes an extra DB2 resource report type and provides more granular control of the collection of DB2 catalog information.

The DB2_VARIABLE NEWLIST is available to report about DB2 global variables. The main panel for DB2 resource reports in the ISPF user interface now includes option GV that exploits this new NEWLIST. It is now also possible to select which catalog information is collected by CKFCOLL based on DB2 subsystem, groupname, and DB2 object type.
