Can a non kit item become a kit?
Answer
Once an item has been added to a storeroom and a balance exists, the Kit field on the Item Master record becomes read only. For the Kit field to be become editable the balance of the inventory item in the storeroom has to be 0.
1, Field is currently read only due to balance existing in storeroom.
2. Perform issue to get balance of item to 0.
3. Now that balance is 0 bring up item in Item Master and check the Kit field.
Note that if the item exist in more than one storeroom all balances in all rooms will have to be 0.
