Problem(Abstract)

Attempts to start IBM Rational System Architect release 11.4.2.5 fails with "Invalid Host" or "Cannot connect to license server" when using a dongle.

Symptom

System Architect fails to start and may give the following errors:



A licensing problem prevented System Architect from starting.
Cannot connect to license server system.
The licence server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet, the wrong port@host or license file is being user, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed.
