Question
You receive Informix error - Exceeding max # of pages (Actual 41, Allowed 40) that can be physically logged in a critical section while critical section blocking is active.
Answer
Although you may receive and assertion Failure. This is only an assert warning and it has not crashed your IDS server. You can avoid this warning by either increasing the size of your physical log or improving your checkpoint performance. Your checkpoints are blocking and the I/O can not complete in a reasonable amount of time before your physical log has to much activity.
