Problem
DE throws com.ibm.ac.si.tpif.TouchpointException: REGISTRY_FETCH_ERROR during installation
Symptom
The com.ibm.ac.si.tpif.TouchpointException: REGISTRY_FETCH_ERROR error is found on the DE_trace.log
Resolving The Problem
On failing machine, follow below steps to fix the issue
1. Download and extract Re-registerCollectorsPatch.zip file to temp location
2. Update Variable : <DE_INSTALL_LOCATION> with DE install location value in reRegisterCollectors.cmd/.sh script file.
3. After updating DE install location in script, save changes.
4. Run reRegisterCollectors.cmd/.sh script which resolves the REGISTRY_FETCH_ERROR issue.
Note: On unix platforms ensure that reRegisterCollectors.sh has execute permission.
5. Retry the installation
