Troubleshooting
Problem
Running the Requirements Management (RM) setup reports an error "CRRRS3009E An error occurred while trying to configure storage on the Jazz Team Server. Please see the error message at the top of this page for more information" when using IBM Rational Requirements Composer.
Symptom
Error message is reported when trying to finalize the RM setup:
CRRRS3009E An error occurred while trying to configure storage on the Jazz Team Server. Please see the error message at the top of this page for more information.
Cause
This issue can be caused by an error in the syntax of properties com.ibm.team.fulltext.indexLocation and com.ibm.team.jfs.index.root.directory in the teamserver.properties file.
Resolving The Problem
- Stop the server
- Backup the teamserver.properties file located at <JazzTeamServer install dir:>\server\conf\jts
- Open the teamserver.properties file and change the properties com.ibm.team.fulltext.indexLocation and com.ibm.team.jfs.index.root.directory using the syntax: C\:/<install dir>/<respective folder>
For example:
com.ibm.team.fulltext.indexLocation=C\:/PROGRA~1/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/conf/jts/indices/workitemindex
and
com.ibm.team.jfs.index.root.directory=C\:/PROGRA~1/IBM/JazzTeamServer/server/conf/jts/indices
- Save the file
- Start the server
- Run the RM setup again
