What is the date format used in the out of office reply notifications, for customers in the IBM SmartCloud Notes environment?
When the out of office runs in the SmartCloud service, the line below is added to all the out of office notifications that are sent:
"Note: This is an automated response to your message <SUBJECT> sent on <DATE> <TIME>
This is the only notification you will receive while this person is away"
While computing the <date> < time >, the Date & time format of the SmartCloud Notes server is used, and it does not adhere to the end user's time & date format setting .
The above theory applies only to the date which is circled on the above print screen, not to the one on the first line of that print screen.
Resolving the problem
Customers in the IBM SmartCloud Notes environment see the date format of MM/DD/YYYY in out of office notifications ,as the IBM Smart Cloud Notes servers are configured for MM/DD/YYYY date format and GMT timezone. The issue of this type has already been reported to IBM Quality Engineering via an SPR MGIN7NXJXL
