Domino 9 server reports error "Unknown error received from ICC"

After installing Domino 9 on IBM i, on server startup one or more Domino tasks report "Unknown error received from ICC"

Users may not be able to connect to the server.

When installing using RSTLICPGM, if any error is reported during the install, the ICC code could be in an incorrect state.

Resolving the problem

Domino product 5733LD9 option 10 must be REMOVED and reinstalled.

Note: If you just reinstall over the existing install, the issue will NOT be resolved.

Two methods to remove option 10:

1. GO LICPGM, Option 12 Delete Licensed Programs, option 4=Delete against 5733LD9 Option 10


WARNING!! If you remove 5733LD9 option *BASE your Domino data may be removed from the system.

Do NOT remove 5733LD9 option *BASE.
