Topic "Compact options" in IBM Domino Administrator 9.0 Social Edition Help shows two inaccurate examples of -REN_WAIT and -IDS_FULL

Technote (troubleshooting)

In the topic "Compact options" in the IBM Domino Administrator 9.0 Social Edition Help the examples for the options -REN_WAIT and -IDS_FULL are incorrect. The inaccuracies also exist in the IBM Domino Administrator 9.0.1 Social Edition Help, and will be corrected in a future release.

Resolving the problem

The examples should show a space character instead of an equal sign. The following table shows the two corrected examples:

Replication-style: Specify limit on IDs -IDS_FULL Creates a new replica while compacting, but only after a specified nn percentage of IDs in application has been reached.

Example: -IDS FULL 80 creates replica only after 80% of space for IDs in original application is full.

Replication-style: Specify wait for renaming replica -REN_WAIT When performing replication-style compaction, waits for nnminutes before attempting to rename the replica.

Example: -REN_WAIT 10 allows 10 minutes for the compact process to complete replication and synchronization, and then attempts to rename the database.

If the renaming attempt fails, it is abandoned. Manually restarting the server will not restart the renaming attempt. You can combine this option with the -RESTART option to automatically restart the server to complete a renaming action that fails on the first attempt.
