UnrecognizedOSException thrown when bootstrapping DE on Windows 7

Problem

Deployment Engine Installation failed due to Java recognising the OS as Windows Vista instead of Windows 7

Symptom

When running DE bootstrap on a Windows 7 machine, the following exception was thrown:
ACUINI0012I Deployment Engine Installation Failed!
Causes: com.ibm.ac.si.install.InstallFailedException:;com.ibm.ac.si.install.UnrecognizedOSException:ACUINI0045E The current OS is unrecognized by this application: Name = Windows Vista ; Architecture = amd64 ; Version = 6.1 build 7600

Cause

Java 1.5 SR 9 incorrectly recognizes the OS as Windows Vista, rather than Windows 7

Resolving The Problem

Java 1.5 SR 11 correctly recognizes the OS version as Windows 7. Please use the latest version of IBM JRE 1.5 (SR 11) to fix this issue.
