IBM MustGather: Collecting data for Guardium Appliance
If there is a problem with the Guardium Collector, Aggregator or Central Manager, what basic information must be gathered before contacting IBM Software Support?
Starting with version v9.0p50 there are two new must gather commands in addition to the existing commands described under the Version 9.x Tab above
support must_gather patch_install_issues
support must_gather network_issues
Also in v9.0p50 there is a new GUI method for collecting must gather information as follows:-
Administration Console -> Configuration -> Support Information Gathering
The example below shows a must gather being collected for Patch Install issues.
Note the new features:-
- Option to specify an email address for the Must Gather output to be attached and sent to
- In federated environments - on the Central Manager there is an option on the screen to run the Must Gathers for managed units directly Manager
At any time the results can also be listed and saved as an alternative way to retrieve the output - for example in cases where an email is not sent
