Changing Setting to Prevent Auto Load in Labor Reporting

Question & Answer

Question

Is it possible to prevent auto loading of data?

Answer

When the Labor Reporting application loads data it is done by default. This can be problematic due to the amount of data needed. This feature can be changed by using the "Start Empty?" box available in the Application Designer.

How to make changes to Labrep XML in Application Designer:

1. Open the LABREP application and highlight the table body by pressing the tool bar. Notice that the table body is selected (press the gray bar and the table body highlights).

2. Select the "Start Empty?' box and save the changes. Log out, then back into Maximo and bring up the Labor Reporting application. "Start Empty?" will now be loaded with no data.

You can now have your users set their own queries, make those queries public or have them set as defaults.
