HTML GUI objects unrecognized after recording
Attempts to record a browser page including actions on typical HTML GUI objects result in unrecognized HTML GUI objects as noticed in IBM Rational Functional Tester's Private Test Object Map.
The Private Test Object Map shows that RFT recognized the GUI object as HTML objects.
The Private Test Object Map shows the object as objects from the Windows domain.
- Double click on the Private Test Object Map in the Script Explorer.
- See that that the Object Map does not contain any HTML references.
The actual cause of this to occur is some security scheme put in place on the web server.
Windows XP, 7, 2008 Server
IBM Rational Functional Tester 8.2, 8.3, 8.5
Resolving the problem
See your server team to correct the security scheme.
