Attempts to open Tasks in WorkplaceXT result in a null error message

Troubleshooting


Problem

When a users tries to open Tasks page in WorkplaceXT, it gives them a null error message. There is no error stack.

Symptom

Cause

When using IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager to configure "Configure Web Application" task, the customer has entered the wrong path in Web application configuration file directory.

Environment

WorkplaceXT 1.1.5, IBM Enterprise Records Manager 5.1.1.1 FP1

Resolving The Problem

Re-run the IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager to enter the correct path in Web application configuration file directory and re-run "Configure Web Application" task. The path should be IBM Records Manager not WorkplaceXT. See the reference screen shot below.


In the screenshot above, the Web application configuration file directory has been corrected to point to /opt/IBM/EnterpriseRecord/config.
