HP ALM adapter: Requirement validation can fail with an error saying an entity is locked
Requirement validation between Rational artifacts and HP ALM test folders can fail if the HP ALM test folder is locked.
Steps to reproduce:
From the HP ALM adapter web interface:
1. Open a Testplan folder.
2. Click on Select in the Validated Requirement Collections pane.
3. Select any collection.
You see an error message similar to the following:
CRIHP0005E: Creating my-requirements-collection links for Test Folder 123 in project my-test-project failed. Failed to lock test-folder with id 123, the entity is locked by: <username>
Another HP ALM user has locked the test folder. This occurs when the cursor focus is placed in a text area field on the HP ALM client.
HP Adapter 1.1.0 and HPALM 11.5
Resolving the problem
You can re-try the operation in a few minutes after the lock has expired.
