Missing CEEOPTS member causes ABENDS0C4 and IFG0199E error

Question

Classic CDC for IMS on z/os was installed and customized. When the Classic server was started, an abend0c4 and - IFG0199E error were received. Why?

Cause

The cause was the CEEOPTS member in USERSAMP library was missing.

Answer


The installation customization process did not generate the Language
Environment® (LE) options override.
LE override options are added to the data server JCL in RUP3. To ensure that the
override options are generated by the installation process, run the
USERSAMP(CACCUSJ2) member as described in the installation notes in RUP3

Rebuild the server JCL with the RUP 3 or greater libraries and that will added the CEEOPTS to the end of the JCL
