Question & Answer
Question
Which versions of project database schema are required for IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT)?
Cause
- RIT uses a project database to store test results.
- The project database schema is updated as the products are improved.
- You are planning to upgrade to a specific version of RIT and want to know of any compatibility issues.
Answer
Always refer to the product Release Notes when looking for compatibility issues. This answer covers the following products.
- GH Tester
- GH Performance
- IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT)
- IBM Rational Performance Test Server (RPTS)
- IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server (RTVS)
The programs are designed to work with two versions of schema, the one that is current at release time, and the next increment. The programs are supplied with database schema creation and upgrade scripts in the scripts
folder of the installation.
See Upgrading the project results database schema in the Rational Integration Tester Knowledge Center.
Consider the following table.
Product and version | Comes with | Works with |
GH Tester 5.2 | 1.9.24.c | 1.9.24.c & d |
GH Tester 5.4 | 1.9.24.d | 1.9.24.d & e |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 8.0 | 1.9.24.d | 1.9.24.d & e |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 8.5 | 1.9.24.e | 1.9.24.e & f |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 8.6 | 1.9.24.e | 1.9.24.e & f |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 8.7 | 1.9.24.f | 1.9.24.e & f |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 9.0 | 1.9.24.f | 1.9.24.e & f |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 9.0.1.1 | 1.9.24.f | 1.9.24.f & g* |
RIT / RPTS / RTVS 9.1/9.2/9.5/10* | 1.9.24.f | 1.9.24.f & g* |
* - In version 10 a fix was made to the MySQL schema. The MySQL schema version alone was increased to 1.9.24.g. See the RIT/RTVS Fix List
