Problem
Collecting data for IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM) problems. Gathering this information before calling IBM support will help you with the troubleshooting process and save time analyzing the data.
Diagnosing The Problem
This document describes what information you need to compile to begin troubleshooting a IBM Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM) issue.
Clients should provide this information when entering a Maximo Asset Configuration Manager (ACM) PMR.
Must Gather
1. Check the exact version information of Maximo, ACM and other Industry Solutions that may be installed in your environment. This can be done by viewing the Help > System Information.
2. Verify if the combination of Maximo, Maximo Asset Configuration Manager and Browser is supported and/or certified.

3. Request the latest patch or hot fix read me file to confirm if the issue has not previously been addressed.
4. Provide a document outlining steps to reproduce the issue with screen shots to better illustrate the scenario.
5. Attempt to confirm that the issue can only be reproduced in ACM and is not related to Maximo core functionality.
6. Change the ACM logger to DEBUG and analyze its logs for any error or warning message.
