Error when attempting to access Product UI

Troubleshooting


Problem

After installing the InfoSphere MDM Workstation using a typical install and then installing the Product UI using update mode, users may encounter the following error when attempting to access the Product UI through a browser: Invoke Constructor failed. The state of the jaxrpc CBA composition unit was incomplete

Resolving The Problem


1. Open the WebSphere Administration Console in a browser window.
2. On the left hand pane, click Applications > Application Types > Business-level applications.
3. Select the Business level application 'MDM-operational-server-EBA-<MDM_APPLICATION_NAME>', where <MDM_APPLICATION_NAME> is the name of your InfoSphere MDM instance.
4. Under Deployed assets, locate the EBA with name "com.ibm.mdm.hub.server.app-<MDM_APPLICATION_NAME>_0001.eba". Again, <MDM_APPLICATION_NAME> is the name of your InfoSphere MDM instance.
5. Scroll down until you locate the 'OSGi application deployment status' section.
6. Click 'Update to latest deployment...'. On the resulting preview page, you can see all of the bundles deployed for the EBA.
7. Search for com.ibm.mdm.server.jaxrpcws.cba and view these details:

8. Follow the flow of the remaining dialogs without making any changes: click OK, then click Next, then click Next again. Finally, click Finish.
9. Click Save to save all of your changes, then click OK, and click Save.
