"Error (0x80040E14): Invalid column name 'vkodlc'" when running Trial Balance with drill down with 'Currency Type' set to 'L - Local'

Troubleshooting


Problem

User clicks "Group - Reports - Trial Balance with Drilldown". User chooses selections. As part of this, user chooses the 'Currency Type' to be 'L - Local'. User receives an error message.

Cause

Code production problem (defect reference PM89845) in some versions of Controller 10.1.1.

Diagnosing The Problem

Scenario #1: Problem occurs when the 'Currency Type' is set to 'L - Local'.


Scenario #2: Problem occurs on some data ranges when Drilldown and Closing/Contribution options are selected.

Resolving The Problem

Fix:

Upgrade to Controller 10.1.2669 or later.



Workaround:
  • Scenario #1: Run the report selecting 'Currency Code' instead (i.e. instead of using 'Currency Type').
  • Scenario #2: There is no known workaround
