Workflow Interactive Nodes Not Working With Maximo Everyplace

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Interactive nodes do not work properly in a Workflow process used with Maximo Everyplace applications.

Symptom

1. You need two apps:  workorder (use wotrack) and a workorder mobile (duplicate wotrack and call it wotrackep)
2. make sure workflow is enabled for the two apps above (go into wf designer and under Select Action > Add Workflow to Applications, choose the two apps, check add support, and click ok)
3. Set up the workflows:
a. For the Sub Process:
- create a new process, call it wo_sub
- connect start to an input (set display one = true)
- connect that input to an interaction (set app = wotrack, action = routewf)
- connect that subprocess to another input (set display one = true)
- connect that input to stop
- save, validate, and enable the workflow (do not activate)

- duplicate the above subprocess, call it wo_sub_ep
- change the interaction app property to wotrackep
- save, validate, and enable the workflow (do not activate)

b. For the Main process:
- create a new process, call it wo_main
- connect start to an input (set display one = true)
- connect that input to a subprocess (set subprocess to wo_sub)
- connect that subprocess to another input (set display one = true)
- connect that input to stop
- save, validate, enable and activate the workflow

- duplicate the above subprocess, call it wo_main_ep
- change the subprocess property to wo_sub_ep
- save, validate, enable and activate the workflow

Open the wotrack app, insert a new record and click route workflow, it will take you through all the steps, through the subprocess, and then finally to the stop.  it does not do that on the wotrackep version, it stops after the second save dialog is shown
