BMXAA4214E in Auto-Create Work Order

Troubleshooting


Problem

"BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has occurred" while trying to auto-crate Work Order in Spatial in SQL Server database.

Symptom

Steps to replicate in Spatial 7.5.0.1 in SQL Server:

- Go to the Work Order Tracking application

- Create a new Work Order against an Asset already associated to a Feature Class

- Save Work Order

- With the Work Order record on the screen, Select Action > Auto-Create WO (Spatial)

- Click OK on "Are you sure that you want to automatically create GIS feature for the current record?"

The issue is:
At this point, system presents "BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator for assistance.
Gather the logs from the <HOME> directory and determine where and why the error is thrown. null"

SystemOut.log shows the following:
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException:
A server cursor cannot be opened on the given statement or statements.
Use a default result set or client cursor.

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException.makeFromDatabase
Error(SQLServerException.java:196)
at
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerStatement.getNextResult(SQLServerStatement.java:1454)

Resolving The Problem

This issue has been identified in Spatial 7.5.0.1 as APAR IV43078.
Please contact IBM Maximo Support and request the fix for this issue.
