There are selling Items and Fulfillment Items, and they share same GTIN for Item substitution. In case of Procurement Order, procurement order or shipment of procurement Order both does not show actual Item(fulfillment Item) being procured. they show the Item ordered in initial Sales order(i.e. Selling Item)
Scenario:- Item1 and Item2 both share inventory(they have same GTIN). Order is placed for Item1 at Node1, however there is no Inventory for Item1 at any node. There is Inventory for Item2 at Node2. Procurement has already been set up. Hence when the sales order is scheduled it creates corresponding Chained Order.
This chained order (Procurement Transfer/Purchase order) is shipped. Now neither the shipment of Procurement Order not the actual Procurement Order show the actual Item(Item2) being procured. They show the selling Item(Item1)
Resolving the problem
For this , a specific configuration has to be enabled. By Default it is not enabled.
If customer want actual Item/Fulfillment Item being shown only in shipment of Procurement Order and want the selling Item being shown in OrderLine of Procurement Order -
then Go To Application Manager > Distributed Order Management(DOM) (switch to specific Enterprise)> Document Specific > Transfer Order > Fulfillment > Process Type Details
go to the Inventory tab and select the checkbox for 'Allow Inventory Check during Schedule and release'.
If customer wants actual Item/Fulfillment Item to be displayed at orderline of Procurement Order itself(hence shipment also shows actual Item), then -
Go to Application Manager > Supply Collaboration(SC) (switch to specific Enterprise)> Document Specific > Transfer Order(or Purchase Order as per requirement) > Fulfillment > Transaction Specific Rules
Under Section 'Synchronize Items', select the check Box 'Use Fulfillment Items When Order is Created As A Chained Order'
