Error: "No such file or directory" when using Sentinel RMS License Manager on Linux

Problem(Abstract)

You start the service of Sentine RMS License Manager on Linux 64-bit operating system. You receive the error:

bash ./lserv: No such file or directory.

Symptom

You open a shell window and change to the directory that contains the Sentinel RMS License Manager installation files. You run the ./lserv command and receive the error:

bash ./lserv: No such file or directory

Cause

Sentinel License Manger is a 32-bit application and requires 32-bit versions of operating system libraries. Maybe these libraries are not installed on Linux 64-bit by default.


Please install the ia32-libs libraries from your distribution's repository. These libraries provide a collection of most commonly used 32bit libraries.


Resolving the problem

To obtain the libraries follow up with the steps below:


a) In a shell window, run the command:

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

b) Enter your user account password

c) Answer Y to “Do you want to continue?”

The correct libraries are installed.
