How to click a HTML radio button through the ID

Technote (FAQ)

Question

How do you script an IBM Rational Robot script as such that it recognizes a radio button in a browser through the ID?

Cause

You want to use the object ID, because other recognition properties can change. For example, when you change the sequence of the different radio buttons, the index changes.

Answer

Consider the following steps.

  1. Start to record an object verification point.

  2. Click Edit in the verification point object list.

  3. Add ID from the Available list to the Selected list.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click OK

  6. Add the following line to your script.
