Is it permitted to use a service account within Cognos for unattended Cognos PowerCube creation by batch jobs ? The only people aware of this account name / password is the IT department.
The customer can create a service account that works on behalf the named user and they can share the same licence provided the two accounts are not being used simultaneously. When you create the service account, as a best practice the description in the service account should reference the named user that it is acting on behalf of. That service account the can then have the service password associated with it.
