DB2 Text Search connection failure on AIX

Abstract

All DB2 Text Search adminstration commands and searches fail with the following error on AIX platform though the port is available and listening:

SQL20427N  An error occurred during a text search administration         
procedure or command. The error message is "CIE00756 Connect failed on   
host named "localhost" and port "50104". ". SQLSTATE=38H14

CIE00756 Connect failed on host named "localhost" and port "50104".
 

This has been identified as product defect with APAR:IC92838 ( V9.7) and IC92910 (V10.1). The upcoming fix packs will be included with the APAR fix. A support request should be opened to obtain a special build for the APAR if it is not possible to wait until the release of official fix pack.

Note: This problem is noticed only on AIX platform
