Long time (several minutes) for 'open' icon to be active after launching "Data Entry - Reported Values"
User clicks "Company - Data Entry - Reported Values". The new screen appears, where the user can enter their parameters. However, it takes several minutes for the 'open' icon to become active.
Client device does not have ability to connect to the internet, and therefore Microsoft .NET certificate checking (for the Controller client) causes the code execution to hang for several minutes.
Resolving the problem
There are several methods to solve the problem:
- Method #1 - Typically easiest for most customers - Disable .NET certificate checking (disable 'CRL verification') for all applications
- Method #2 - Disable .NET certificate checking (over the Internet) only for Controller/Excel.
- Method #3 - Allow the clients and application server to access the internet
