Question

How can toolbar icons be added in SCCD?

Answer

Within SCCD with the Left Navigation Bar enabled, only certain icons appear on the toolbar:



To add a new icon, please do the following:

1) Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – System Properties – filter for 'mxe.webclient.showOnToolbar':



2) In this example, the 'Change Status' icon will be added. Within the 'Global Value' for the 'mxe.webclient.showOnToolbar' property, add 'STATUS' to the end of the 'Global Value':



3) Click on Save. Click on the checkbox to the left of the 'mxe.webclient.showOnToolbar' property, click on 'Live Refresh':



4) Click 'Ok' within the 'Live Refresh' dialog to 'Save the changes'
5) Access the Service Request application to confirm the changes - Go To – Work Orders – Service Request. The Change Status Icon will now appear on the toolbar:
