Test Log Viewer can produce OutOfMemoryException

Technote (troubleshooting)


When opening or exporting a test log for a schedule or a compound test that is made up of many tests (or large tests) an OutOfMemoryException occurs.


This is caused by the test log viewer opening every test that is pointed to by the test log.

Resolving the problem

Move the test log to another project where the tests are not available and open it. In 8.5, you can avoid this error by launching Rational Performance Tester with the vmarg -DTPTPDisableLogToTestNavigation. This command removes all linkages from the test log viewer to the test editor.
