How is the PollInterval conf file parameter used with the LogSources parameter?
In a Windows environment, when an event Log is monitored, the PollInterval parameter is not used.
In a Windows environment, the PollInterval parameter is not used to monitor for new data for files specified with "LogSources" parameter. The Log File Agent is triggered by Windows when new data is written to the log file. Then, the Log file Agent begins to read and treat the log messages as a new event.
For all platforms, the PollInterval parameter value is used to detect if the monitored file is created or switched. The Log file Agent checks for its existence periodically using a factor of the PollInterval timer value.
