Problem(Abstract)

When you enter your credentials to log in, the signin page refreshes rather than logging you in to the application.

Symptom

Cannot log in to application because signin page refreshes rather than redirecting to home page,.


Cause

The server address cannot be understood by the application. This can be due to spaces or non-alphanumeric characters in the computer name.

Environment

Server or local install.

Resolving the problem

Open the web.config file located in the IAInterface\IA directory, and modify the "ServerName" and "IABaseURL" keys to use the computer's IP address rather than computer name.


For example, a local install should be set up like this:
<add key="ServerName" value="http://127.0.0.1" />
<add key="IABaseURL" value="http://127.0.0.1/IA76/" />
