Tivoli Storage Manager server instance logs NUMA error

Problem

A Tivoli Storage Manager server instance running on Linux logs an error in the db2diag log when the instance is started. The error indicates an incompatibility with NUMA support.

Symptom

A sample error logged in the db2diag log follows.

Resolving The Problem

This message was added with DB2 apar IC80998.Tivoli Storage Manager does not set the DB2_RESOURCE_POLICY registry variable in DB2 so this message can be ignored.
