When replacing the current hardware and need to migrate the Informix setnet32 connectivity settings from Host-A to the new Host-B to avoid manually reentering the information
Answer
In order to migrate the setnet32 connectivity from one Windows host to another
follow these steps:
1. Click on the "Save to File" tab on the first Setnet32 screen.
2. Select the folder you wish to export these setting to. tmp was used in this example.
3. Specify the filename you wish to save to. In this example the settings were saved to winA.
4. Click Save.
5. Transfer or copy your exported settings to the target host.
6. Click on the "Load from File" tab on the first Setnet32 screen.
7. Select the folder you wish to import these setting from. tmp was used in this example.
8. Specify the filename you wish to Load from. In this example the settings were saved in winA.
9. Click Open.
Your Setnet32 settings have now been imported.
