Orderline Shipped Quantity is not getting updated for imported orders

Question

Use importOrder and importShipment APIs to import an order and corresponding shipment.

Open the order from the Application Console and view the Order line details by clicking on the orderline number.

> The Shipped Quantity field is set to 0 although the order is in shipped status


Cause

The attribute ShippedQuantity is not yet exposed in the input to importOrder API hence it is always marked as 0.

Answer

Pass the value for ShippedQuantity attribute explicitly in the input to importOrder API at the OrderLine level, the field then gets updated as expected.

This approach is recommended by the engineering team. However, the fix to expose this attribute in the input xml of importOrder API has been deferred to higher versions of the product.
