COM user not able to search orders for its child enterprise

Technote (troubleshooting)

Call Center user configured at the parent level is not able to search order list in COM Application for its child enterprises.

The behavior observed is due to the Data Access Policy Rules set up. By default an enterprise has access to its own data only. Hence, a user created under Parent Enterprise cannot view the orders created for the Child Enterprise.

PEnt is an enterprise created under DEFAULT.
User(PUser) is created at parent level, PEnt.
PEnt has two child enterprises, CEnt1 and CEnt2.
Login to COM client with PUser.
On the Order Search screen, search for orders created for CEnt1 or CEnt2.

> Search does not return any results.

Resolving the problem

1.    Create a team under DEFAULT.
2.    Include the enterprises that should have access to each other's data.
3.    Assign the team to the user created under PEnt.
4.    Under Application Platform> Security> Data Access Policy Rules>Enterprise User (at DEFAULT) select the radio button 'Users Have Access To All Enterprises Assigned To Their Team'.
