How to configure CentOS to install and operate ClearCase
How do you configure CentOS 5.8 or CentOS 6.3 on x86 to install and run IBM Rational ClearCase?
ClearCase requires some system packages which may not be installed on your CentOS 5.8 or CentOS 6.3 systems. These packages must be installed before you install and configure ClearCase.
The set of packages that must be installed depends on the CentOS Version (5 or 6) as well as on the system architecture (X86 or X86_64).
The system installer is able to detect if a package is already installed on the system. If that is the case, it will not be reinstalled.
