Poor Performance of WebServer PLUGIN Generation with many JEE Apps

Versions 8.0, 8.0.0.1, 8.0.0.2, 8.0.0.3, 8.0.0.4, 8.0.0.5, 8.0.0.6
Versions 8.5, 8.5.0.1, 8.5.0.2

Problem Description:
During Web Server plugin generation, the OSGi applications component must contribute information for the plugin.
In order to do this the OSGi applications component needs to iterate over all the applications installed, but it is only interested in OSGi applications and not JEE applications.
There is no way for it to distinguish between the two types prior to reading the data from the disk which can be time consuming.
If there are many JEE applications a significant overhead is incurred by reading JEE applications from disk when that data is of no interest to OSGi applications.

Solution:
Applying Interim Fix APAR PM76982, which delivers a fix to the WebSphere code that improves the performance of plugin generation by enabling OSGi applications to read only OSGi application data
from disk.
