Description: GSKit version and earlier versions do not properly consider timing side-channel attacks on a MAC check requirement during the processing of malformed CBC padding, which allows remote attackers to conduct distinguishing attacks and plaintext-recovery attacks via statistical analysis of timing data for crafted packets, also called the "Lucky Thirteen" issue.

Affected Products and Versions

All versions of Rational DOORS product from version 9.3 to version 9.5.1.

Note: This only affects DOORS with respect to RDS, and only if both are used in secure mode.


Upgrade to Rational DOORS Fix Pack 1 ( for 9.5.1 or later.
These releases contain a version of GSKit that does not contain this vulnerability.
