Extract, transform and load (ETL) jobs fail due to access violation errors

Technote (troubleshooting)

Attempts to perform ETL jobs in IBM Rational Team Concert and IBM Rational Quality Manager fail due to access violation errors.

After you perform an ETL job, the job does not complete because of an access violation error that is reported in the application's etl log file (<applicationname>-etl.log).

The error message is as follows: Server returned HTTP response code: 400 for URL:https:// :9443/qm/secure/service/ /priority?redirect=process-info&fields=rdf%3ARDF%2Fqm_process%3AProcessInfo%2Fqm_process%3AhasPriority%2Fqm_process%3APriority%2F%28qm_process%3AprojectArea%2F%40rdf%3Aresource%7C%40rdf%3Aabout%7Cdcterms%3Atitle%7Cdcterms%3Aidentifier%29

The user may not have privilege to access the project area or the username or password may be incorrect or ETL user does not have Data Collector license or Jazz Admin privilege.

The jazz user account used for data collection is not configured correctly.

Resolving the problem

Make sure that all of the below conditions are met:

  • The user account for etl jobs (usually called dw_user) is not archived

  • It is possible to log into the Jazz server using the dw_user credentials

  • The dw_user is located in JazzAdmins role

  • The dw_user has an active Data Collector license assigned.
